Terms of Service for MOSS Image
Introduction and Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to MOSS Image, an independent studio website that helps you explore the OpenMOSS MOSS-Image text-to-image model. You can draft prompts, try layout ideas, and generate still images for posters, products, portraits, and similar creative work through our hosted studio at moss-image-ai.org. By accessing or using our website and tools, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, do not use the service.
MOSS Image is not the official OpenMOSS application. Standard text-to-image generation on this site may use the official MOSS-Image SFT service; branding, accounts, and features on this website are operated separately.
Use of the Service
MOSS Image provides tools for submitting text prompts, tag sequences, layout instructions (including structured layout data where supported), processing text-to-image generation requests, and downloading generated still-image outputs through our platform. You agree to use the service in compliance with all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations, and any terms that apply to OpenMOSS or model providers when generation is fulfilled through their services.
User Accounts and Registration
-
Account Creation: To access certain features, generation credits, download history, or support options, you may need to create an account when those features are offered. You must provide accurate and complete registration information.
-
Account Security: You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use.
-
Usage Credits and Limits: Your access may include generation limits or credits based on product settings, shared studio capacity, or your plan. You are responsible for how you use them.
Content and Intellectual Property Rights
-
Your Prompts and Generated Images:
- You retain ownership of prompts, layout instructions, and other materials you lawfully submit to MOSS Image, subject to applicable law.
- Subject to these Terms, your plan, and applicable law (including OpenMOSS or model-provider terms where they apply), MOSS Image grants you a licence to use the image outputs ("Generated Content") produced from your submissions, within the scope allowed here.
- You must have all necessary rights, consent, and permissions for every word, name, likeness, trademark, or other content you include in prompts or Generated Content, and for how you use Generated Content commercially or publicly.
- Generated images may vary in quality, text accuracy, layout fidelity, resolution, style, and consistency based on your prompt, settings, model behaviour, system capacity, and technical limits. Model capabilities such as text rendering or layout control are not guarantees for every output.
- MOSS Image and its licensors retain all rights in the platform, software, interfaces, workflows, and underlying technology used to operate the service.
-
Platform Technology:
- The MOSS Image platform is owned by or licensed to the operator of moss-image-ai.org and is protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws.
- You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract source code, prompts, workflows, or underlying models from our service, except where law forbids such restrictions or we give written permission.
-
Independent Website:
- MOSS Image is an independent website built around OpenMOSS MOSS-Image; it is not the official OpenMOSS product.
- You must not state or imply that your use of the service, your Generated Content, or this website is officially endorsed by OpenMOSS or any other person, brand, or rights holder unless you have permission.
Prohibited Activities
You agree not to:
- Submit or generate content that infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, likeness, or other rights.
- Use names, likenesses, or brands of real people or entities without permission where required by law.
- Create content involving minors in unlawful, exploitative, or inappropriate ways.
- Create content intended to deceive, defraud, impersonate, harass, threaten, shame, exploit, or mislead others.
- Create unlawful, harmful, defamatory, obscene, hateful, discriminatory, or otherwise objectionable content.
- Misrepresent your affiliation with MOSS Image, OpenMOSS, or any other person or brand.
- Bypass usage limits, billing systems, access controls, safety measures, or security systems.
- Resell or redistribute access to the service without permission.
- Interfere with or disrupt the service, servers, networks, or third-party systems we rely on.
- Attempt to extract, replicate, scrape, or reverse-engineer our systems or third-party components except as allowed by law.
- Use MOSS Image for any illegal purpose.
Content Generation Guidelines
-
Prompt and Brief Requirements:
- Write prompts that clearly describe subject, style, and any text that should appear in the image.
- When text matters, review Generated Content at full size for spelling, punctuation, and placement before public use.
- Do not submit illegal, hateful, abusive, explicit, exploitative, or non-consensual material.
-
Generated Image Use:
- You are responsible for reviewing Generated Content before downloading, sharing, publishing, or using it in ads, products, or client work.
- If you publish Generated Content online or in print, you are responsible for following applicable platform rules, advertising standards, and third-party rights.
- For exact brand typography, dense legal copy, or final print-ready layouts, you may need to refine outputs in a separate design tool.
-
Usage Limits and Quality:
- Generation is subject to credits, fair use, shared capacity, queue availability, and system limits (including per-browser and per-network limits on the hosted studio where applicable).
- Output size, processing time, text readability, layout accuracy, and visual quality may vary based on your inputs, settings, and technical conditions.
Privacy and Data Collection
MOSS Image collects and processes data needed to run and improve the service, including account information, prompts and instructions, generated images, usage metrics, technical data, and payment details where applicable. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Pricing and Credits
- Plans, credits, and pricing are shown on moss-image-ai.org or in the product when offered.
- Payments are handled by third-party payment processors.
- Purchases are generally final and non-refundable unless required by law or stated otherwise in plan terms.
- Credits, limits, or generation access may expire or change according to product terms.
- We may change plans, features, credit costs, or pricing with reasonable notice where required.
Service Level and Support
MOSS Image is provided "as is" and "as available." Availability, processing speed, queue time, image quality, model behaviour, and output may vary. Support options may depend on your plan or product status. Maintenance, third-party infrastructure, or AI processing providers may cause temporary interruptions.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if we believe you violated these Terms, harmed other users or the service, created legal or safety risk, bypassed limits, misused content or likenesses, or for other legitimate reasons, with or without prior notice where permitted by law.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. AI-generated image results can vary based on inputs, settings, model behaviour, and technology limits. We do not warrant uninterrupted, error-free, fully secure, or perfectly accurate operation, and we do not guarantee that any generated image will meet your expectations, text requirements, or platform rules.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MOSS Image and its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, suppliers, and licensors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, reputation, business opportunities, or other intangible losses arising from your use of or inability to use the service, third-party conduct, Generated Content, publication of outputs, or unauthorised access to your data—whether based on warranty, contract, tort, or other theory, even if we were advised of the possibility.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will be posted on moss-image-ai.org. If changes are material, we may notify you by email or in the product. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
